In California we have partnered with a permitted Hemp & Cannabis Tissue Culture Lab since 2015 to dial in optimized agar recipes, specific to each cultivar we index.
Plant tissue culture is a cloning technique used to maintain or grow plant cells, under sterile conditions on a nutrient culture medium called agar.
Plant tissue culture’s advantage when compared to conventional cloning is apparent when running a commercial cultivation facility. Micro-propagation allows you to replicate several more clones grown from tissue culture that are clean of pests, molds, and viruses. Each plantlet is identically cloned from clean mother stock that is also kept in vitro.

Incorporating Meristematic processes we can select a new growth top from the plant, that is not connected to the vascular system, thus bypassing viruses in the plant.

Grow Rooms
Tissue Culture grow rooms are vertically integrated allowing much larger production in a smaller foot print than conventional clone nurseries. Once the tissue culture plantlet has grown tall enough in the grow lab, it is then transferred into a starter peat-plug, placed in a propagation tray, and hardened off in the supporting grow room or greenhouse. This process allows for clones to be eventually transported to clients, and grown out to maturity just like a conventional clone would be treated.
Most farmers notice significant vigor improvement and boost to their crop’s yields with our tissue culture clones. Micro-propagation cloning is most valuable when cultivating a designated crop for commercial production.
Breeding

Breeding new strains via seeded propagation programs is still needed for cannabis and hemp to discover more desirable varieties. Once we breed a new plant variety we store the phenotypes in our Tissue Culture Lab Vault for access later in the program, or to replicate by the thousands.
Build Your Brand
We work with other breeders large and small, to store their life’s work of genetics, in our lab vault. I’m also offering a royalty program for breeders that allow us to produce their strains for commercially licensed companies. This encourages the breeder’s name & brand to be used on the flower, extract, of infused product, the entire way thru distribution, and finally sold on the dispensary shelves. This program is mutually benefiting for all parties by cross promoting the breeders with the farm and/or extract company. It helps to build brands and consumer loyalty in products manufactured.
